OT: inconsiderate shoppers

So you wade through miles and loads of unsnipped posts and wait for mine to criticize?

Some people have nothing better to do with their time. Why doesn't he just buy a wheelmouse? I didn't even notice you hadn't snipped, I just spun the wheel until I got the text in the right colour.

The answer goes at this end, moron.

Strip? AFAIK they all use radar. Those little things on the top of the lights that look like cameras but aren't. And those pick up quite a long distance, as I've triggered a light while driving towards it, still about 50 yards away. They presumably do it deliberately to avoid people having to stop and start and waste fuel.

It's a reasonable guide. I find some things like biscuits can be eaten months after the date, but stuff like dairy can go off 4 days after OR BEFORE the date.

Well some people get high putting their whole bank balance at risk every time they whip out that old debit card. Probably the same folks who like to bungee jump, sky dive, or juggle chain saws ;-)

Auto pay can be a problem when a vendor billes you erroneously and you've paid for something you shouldn't have. You lose leverage once he's got your money...

No they don't.

We do not have animals, so much of the time some food is wasted. I am just glad Chicken is inexpensive. The smallest packages are often more than the wife and I will eat.

Too bad they do not package things for two. Take hot dogs. Eight of them in a package is just too many dogs to eat in a week.

Why bother when you can just buy it in a shop? A loaf of sliced bread is 35p. Buy several, stick all but one in the freezer, and you have bread for months.

[newsgroup line corrected]

They freeze well though. Have them a few weeks later.

You'd think these people had never heard of freezers.

You're at it again.

I find the pre-made bread in supermarkets to take me 5 seconds to buy.

Takes a lot less time to spend 30 secs to put the breadmix and water in the machine than to go and buy it in a shop. And you get much better bread too. Even with the proper bakery about 500m from my place, that buggers idea of a whole grain loaf is to chuck some seeds into the wholemeal dough. And half the time I'd walk over to get a loaf and get told that he hadn't started the wholemeal run yet.

And is tasteless blotting paper, not real bread.

You actually have tasteless blotting paper for months.

But much longer than the 30 secs it takes me to load the bread machine to get to the shop and home again. It takes more than 30 secs to go from the car into the supermarket and thru the checkout too.

You don't have a freezer ? There are two of us , and we buy stuff in bulk - especially meat . When we get it home I repackage it in portions for two and freeze it . Very little waste that way , and the little bit left over is usually fat, bone , or gristle - which the dog loves .

No they often have a detector before the line so the lights do not have to change unless there is a car waiting especially turn arrows (why activate a turn arrow when not needed). at a certain cemetery I often have to get out of the car and walk forward to tell the chinaman that the reason that the turn signal has not changed through many cycles is because they have not triggered it.

Why do people get upset about cats and dogs being eaten? They're no more intelligent than a cow, which everyone eats.

Oh do get a life.
