OT: inconsiderate shoppers

Used to, in the UK at least I believe that has been changed by law.

Anyway, it virtually never needs to be used, as the shop has to provide the protection, again by law.

But then you have to remember how much to leave in your current account to make sure it can be paid off.

Oh for goodness sake, read the thread properly. When people take them from the back to avoid the 1 day difference (which I agree is nothing to worry about, but some selfish people do), you end up with a 2 day difference, as nobody takes the front ones for a day. Then 3 days and so on until the front ones go off.

Not when you organise it to be paid off in full automatically every month.

More fool you.

Not all of us are desperate povs. Mine always has vastly more than the credit card limit.

Hardly anyone does.

Some with a clue do.

That last never happens, that no one takes the front ones. And the online shoppers always get the front ones.

Just another of your silly little fantasys/pathetic excuse for a troll.

Bulk sale is always cheaper, for many reasons. Transport, handling, packaging, selling more to one person therefore less transactions, etc, etc, etc. Why else would they be selling the larger ones much cheaper?

A debit card would do that equally well.

And stop adjusting the newsgroup line. OK

My point was that maybe you don't want to use "auto-pay"--unless there is a gap between when you get your statement and when you pay.

If you set up auto pay, you never go in debt nor do you pay any interest.

I don't run that close to zero.

You are the inconsiderate one, assuming that everyone is in the same position as you and uses food at the same rate as you.

So do I but I spend the money I have to pay off the cash back credit card bill each month.

You really don't have a clue about modern shopping do you? What kind of idiot takes all the old stock from the front of the shelf and doesn't use a method of payment that gives a discount?

Someone who has different priorities to you in respect of money and selfishness?

One who can't even manage to work out what qualification is likely to get it a job where it chooses to 'live'

No selfishness involved.

FMurtz expressed precisely :

There are two of us, plus two middle sized dogs, even so we find ourselves having to buy more than we really need, then the surplus needs to be thrown away. The dogs always have at least some of what we have for dinner. We don't have cabbage, or carrots, or etc. every day and some days we choose to dine out. A blue and a green 2L lasts us an entire week.

Even more unselfish would be an ability on your part to snip.
