Same way it does now. Only 11% of the EU's existing requirement for
bananas is grown within the EU, rest is imported. And it doesn't sit
rotting at the port while Our Dave checks it with his clipboard,
Socialism only works in two places: Heaven where they don't need it, and Hell
where they already have it.
We used to import bananas from the Caribbean. Farmers in places like
St Lucia were able to earn a decent living and pay their kids school
fees. Ditto sugar from caribb and Fiji. The bananas cost a bit more,
but so what.
Then the Germans used their muscle to put a stop to this because they
wanted bigger, cheaper bananas from South America.
Many banana farmers in St Lucia and elsewhere now find it is more
profitable to grow drugs.
How much does the UK now have to spend on the 'war against drugs' ?
United One stands
Divide and Conquer, cash is what Brexit is about, simple as that.
Those with power over the media spread lies and hate as a tool to
boost profits even higher.
yers. I looked through my fridge. Most of the veg was UK, dutch green
peppers (but not red/yellow) and beans from kenya.
I can bear doing without European wines and beers no probs
Olive oil is an issue, yes. :-)
Ideas are more powerful than guns. We would not let our enemies have
guns, why should we let them have ideas?
