Petrol or Diesel car?

Andy Champ gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying:

Exactly.

That's the *only* thing it addresses. Slow, not cheap, not economical, handles poorly - and I've heard rumours about low engine life too. Better off with a Ka, or a Cinquecento, or a Yaris, or one of the many other cars in that extremely hotly contested class.

This man buy BMWs - yes he does.

The plantpots have done this?

You clearly are a plantpot now. Congrats

This man is a Jocko you know.

Noty funny, just plain wrong.

Goes to show what companies they are.

Many years ago there was a coachworks who'd take a Jag XJS and turn it into an estate car. Maybe they're still going... (name eludes me right now)

I saw one that had flipped over once. Suffice to say that the roof completely folded and there was no way anyone was going to be getting out of it. (Top Gear's front impact test was quite impressive though - they're definitely strong little buggers if you pile one into a stationary object).

Utterly useless vehicles here anyway, what with the amount of snow we get. A bar of soap would handle better.

:-)

Hmm, put a tow-ball on the front and back it up, that might work :-) I'm not sure what the options are for a 4x4 van. Those Unimog things are pretty cool, though ;)

Now there's some lateral thinking! If the roof leaks, cut the roof off...

Good idea. I've had a few tax-exempt cars, in part because it annoyed me so much that road tax is so expensive and I can't be driving several vehicles at once.

I'm somewhat blessed this side of the Atlantic - insurance costs are roughly similar to the UK, but cover the vehicle rather than the driver. Tax works out at about 30 quid a year (per vehicle) in this state, and there's no such thing as an MOT. Shame it's too expensive to ship a Landy over :-)

Lies, you idiot tractor-driving plantpot! ;-)

I see I managed my first one today. I've only really been actively reading here for a couple of months, so I've got some excuse!

cheers

The message from "Doctor Drivel" contains these words:

I have been a regular on this ng for a long time. Almost every regular has been castigated as a lunatic or worse by Dribble in one of his several disguises since he first appeared on the scene, IIRC, circa

2000. Since we are many and he is very much on his own it is highly probable that the only lunatic among us is John Burns-Curtis or Dribble as he is currently known.

Jules gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying:

Not sure why. None of the standard service stuff has anything to do with the turbo.

Oil change maybe, if its being drip fed engine oil.

shoukld do about 200 miles driven sanely.

We suspect he is mentally deficient, lives with his mum and takes a lot of pills, when he isn't actually in hospital, and spends his time reading combi brochures and worrying about the environment. And playing with himself.

Lynx engineering.?
