Ah yes, these *scientists* ...

"The company, based in El Segundo, California, was founded 10 years ago by tech entrepreneur Ethan Brown. It found early backing from legendary Silicon Valley financiers Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers ? and later from Bill Gates and Leonardo DiCaprio ? before it brought its first product, a chicken-free ?chicken?, to market in 2013."

Looks very much like people out to make some cash out of doing the right thing. Better than exploiting animals and making them suffer and die, just because you aren't forward thinking enough to consider not sponsoring that and looking elsewhere. ;-(

I wouldn't expect anyone to do a job that I wouldn't do myself. We aren't talking about not being able (skills / certificates) or not wanting to do it because of the smell (sewer cleaning) or the risk (steeplejack), I'm talking about killing young, healthy, sentient, intelligent and especially 'innocent and trusting' beings, day in and day out, simply because you happen to have been brought up (by Neanderthals / wolves it seems with some) to accept the routine killing of animals for their flesh (well, to support it, most couldn't do it themselves of course, and my point).

And 'not being able to do it' is the norm, because we (well, those of us with any level of empathy and a comprehension of the bigger picture, including understanding our responsibility to look after (not kill) all the animals in the world (primarily 'wild' animals of course, not those we have bred artificially as they are part of our problem)) we are programmed to care for, to help others, whatever the species, wherever we can.

*Millions* of volunteers round the world, giving their time and skills to help all sort of situations where people and animals are being persecuted, exploited, enslaved and killed.

Most people *would* stop if they hit an animal with their car (if they were able to safely etc ) and would try to do the right thing (take it to a vet or get someone to 'put it out of it's misery' if badly injured). Very few would take the situation easily and are often distraught when it is their own animal that is involved. To help them get over it they have a burger ... 'cognitive dissonance', conditioning and marketing brought about as a left-over from the 'olden days' where it was a survival issue. It's no longer the case for the vast majority of the population in 2021.

'Of course' there will be some who have no empathy, compassion or benevolence who are only in it for them and obviously (because some have stated so here) DGAF about anyone else (other than those they specifically choose to, like *their* animal, or *their* family).

Cheers, T i m

Then support campaigns for improved animal welfare. It's very simple.

But you won't because it won't promote your fanatical campaign against consumers of meat and animal products, fuelled by envy.

No, it's exploiting the poor by making them pay higher prices.

A feature of Brexit. I trust you are rejoicing in the prospect of reduced subsidies to land owners.

Shame their children will likely have stunted brain development. Darwin would be proud of the self selection.

Very unlikely unless they want their profits to plummet. Best live in the RW.

One would expect there is a premium for fake meat.

Or to promote envy amongst those Converts who dream of eating meat.

I agree.

Then campaign to reduce the unnecessary animal cruelty. It's very simple.

So fashion is art then ?

So it isn't art it's fashion on canvas.
