OT: my adventure at the post office and viruses transmission

Yeah, that's about how mine runs.

I've heard some health care professionals refer to bikers as organ donors. You make your choices, you take your risks.

Where can I find a well functioning society?

Let them live in Venezuela for a couple years. That way they can live first hand what they are trying to do to us

Folks with one foot in the grave. And they need to be careful of everything.

Do you have Grand Kids (super spreaders)?

Some do as some do the flu and colds. Not in the numbers old folks are. Why do you think Cuomo was able to murder so many old folks in those nursing homes?

He just wants you to conform, even when he can't prove it will do any good.

I can see where amusement and anger look the same on Usenet. I'm feeling amusement. It's fun to toy with you and see your reactions.

No need. Like most women on Usenet, I am too old to have children. I've never been concerned about my age, although at this point I miss the robustness of youth. What I wouldn't give to sleep like a child again...

Since I'm not a metabolic syndrome poster boy, the stats suggest the Wuhan-19 is of little threat to me.

I see no reason to wear a fake surgical mask.

It has plenty of basis in fact. It was Democrat controlled cities that allowed rioters to take over police stations, fast food joints, burn them to the ground. In Seattle, that feckless mayor and governor even allowed them to take over a whole section of the city, put mob rule into effect and that went on for three weeks.

ROFL! That's a good one, Mr. T.

But

ROFL with that one too. You don't use science. You form opinions based on politics and group think, then desperately try to find whatever little you can to support that view, while rejecting all the sound science. That is abundantly clear whether it's wearing masks or climate change. When did a simple thing like wearing a mask become a political issue? My how far this country has fallen.

The radio news just said 58 people in a nursing home tested positive. I expect a spike in our deaths soon.

Funny, Trump hurls one insult after another at people who just disagree with him, but you never complain about that. But here, M has proven she's the village idiot over years, with one stupid post after another, and you're all hot and bothered because we say she's stupid. BTW, was or was it not stupid and irresponsible for Trump to hold political rallies with 6000 people with both no social distancing and no masks? That's a simple yes or no answer. I see it as stupid both from the standpoint that it's going to spread Covid, get people sick, kill people and even from his own selfish re-election interest. While people like you, M and Frank will love it, polls show two thirds of Americans are very concerned about Covid and support social distancing, masks, etc. Isn't it stupid to be doing stupid things to help you lose?

And funny we never see Mr. T objecting to all the name calling and insults hurled by Trump.

We don't have 130K dead from the common cold or even a bad seasonal flu in four months, stupid.

Very few, but you're obviously one.

But he doesn't like what he calls 'weasel words' like "many" or "most" or "some" or "few" he only likes absolutes like "does" or "doesn't".

To him it is "only" kills the old instead of "mostly" kills the old. Perhaps more brain cells are needed for nuance?

In this country alone, there are over 3 million cases that have been identified through testing, with an estimated factor of 10x (30 million) covering the cases that we don't know about because we don't have enough testing capacity, with over 130,000 deaths so far in just the first 6 months of this thing.

At what point will you begin to see that it's a bit different? Is there a number that you're waiting for? Are you waiting to hear a specific person tell you that this is different? Do you even know what it will take, or is your mind pretty well made up?
