Semi OT Latestbunch of idiots.

Except they will be stoned to death getting back from the bakers.

Maybe it will not get to that as after a while those with lights on will be recognised by mobs who will evict them and take over their homes. No point in solar or wind powered security devices. The mobs will only need to wait a few hours for renewables to cease producing and entry will be easy.

FIT parasites should be quaking in their boots at their grim future wandering what remains of the UK with a long lingering death in a cold damp cave as communes take over the shiny properties that stand out like a sore thumb.

Some have said the next wars will be over water, in the UK they will be over energy.

Just what we need when the economy is attempting to pull out of a recession - power shortages.

That's fine if that's what everyone has, but this neighbour didn't. He got what was supplied and that was it. It had no battery back-up.

Well I already have that.

And how is going to pay for that? TBH I wouldn't want the disruption either.

I'd hate to be near you when there is a power cut, due to tree hitting a line or similar. B-)

Of the two, (electricity or internet, we don't have gas), loss of, or slow, internet causes me far more grief.

It will get worse when/if the recession ends and the demand for energy picks up.

There's a lot of people here lives in Lala land. They don't even know history much less be able to see where we're all heading. Some believe in the Bogey man and Thatcher. They are inculcated at an early age. It's always someone else's fault. (When if fact it's nothing but their own.)

No you don't.

A+ rated (high insulation) freezers/fridges for example could be shut off for five or six hours and restarted at high availabilty times so both lopping the peak and filling in the valley.

If you don't want disruption, it will cost you.
