I've found it

Last year my telescopic magnet went missing.

Similar to but from Snap On.

A new one was on my wish list to Santa but I found the old one stuck to the back of a radiator this evening. How did that get there? I am blaming my cats.

Merry Christmas

blaming my

I bought two of those at an exhibition several years ago, telling myself at the time they were gimmicks and probably useless. Quite the contrary, excellent bit of kit in the workshop, from picking a dropped drill out from under the lathe, to searching for that ball bearing that rolled 'somewhere' !

recovering an expensive camera dropped into a deep, fast moving river. Surface ripples prevented any direct sight of the bottom. A piece of glass from an old torch taped over the end of a length of plastic waste pipe and a hook made from welding rod, easy peasy!

I dropped mine down a hole. effing useless.

Ended up dangling a small electric motor down there to pick up the holesaw. never saw the magnet thing again.
