Help! Locked Neff Hob - SWMBO needs to cook pancakes

Our Neff (T5443) ceramic hob appears to be in child lock mode.

Unfortunately we have no children and cannot find the manual, so have no idea how the thing got locked - or worse know how to unlock it.

If anyone has suggestions I am all ears as the pancakes are lacking.

BTW: I have disconnected the power for a fair while - with no effect.

Thanks

Paul

If you know your ENR or FD number (doesn't work with the model number, I tried) you can download the instruction manual from here:

On our Siemens one, you just hold the power button for ages!

If you don't have children, then there is no reason to make pancakes.

Besides, all that carbohydrate and fat is bad for you. :-)

Not even using up all the eggs and milk before Lent?

Which is why I planned to eat it all in one hit to avoid long term damage.

Manual was finally located - too late in the evening to be bothered with pancakes though.

Having now seen the instructions I cannot possibly conceive how the thing could get into lock state by accident. I kinda feel like my grandparents did when they got the first VCR!

You needed a child to unlock it! Our 2.5 year old can turn on & operate SWMBO's mobile phone in spite of the PIN being set......

I expect you are already on the beetroot juice.

That's a thought, although one could drink the milk and make omelettes.

You've got to be kidding.

However, I do like a well made borsch when I visit Russia.

OK, well, yeah, there is that.

However, I prefer galettes and buckwheat has a low GL.

Galettes? Isn't that a type of body warmer? GL? Gay Lesbian?

A rather excellent Breton production.

In a manner of speaking.

Glycaemic load. This is the glycaemic index of something factored by portion size. The idea is to have an idea of the impact of a type of food on the body taking more factors into account than the supermarket label. One classic example, often quoted is water melon. This has a high GI (glycaemic index) because of the rapidly acting sugar content. However, it has low glycaemic load because for the typical portion size the amount of sugar is small.

That's why they're delicious. I make pancakes with orange juice in the batter and fried apple slices inside, for example.
