It's just started popping up that there is a new version available. It's also fairly mature so doesn't need constant fiddling and feature bloat.

Agree. I have been using it for years.

Neither my wife or I go around with modile phones glued to our ears - we only use them for convenience when needed.

Long calls to friends and family are made over the landline - we have a package that includes free calls for up to 59 minutes long.

You're right, especially if they are your ISP (as in my case). It's only slight inertia that has kept me from changing (having just done gas and electricity), but it is a good prompt. Thanks for the pointer to Uswitch.

I had the misfortune to try to free up memory on my neighbour's Samsung phone. What is it with this memory allocation s*it? It came with 8GB of internal memory, and an 8GB memory card. But 90% of the apps refuse to be moved onto the card, so fill up the internal memory very quickly. And most of those are ones she doesn't need or want, but came free with the phone, like Excel. They will not uninstall. The shop that sold her the phone says the only option is to buy a more expensive phone with 16GB internal memory, despite her external card being almost empty!! She only bought it 4 months ago! What the f*ck were the programmers thinking?

MP is usually a lie. Even a proper camera from Fujifilm (not a phone) LIES about it's resolution. I have a 10MP Fujifilm camera which I've measured to be 2.5MP, a quarter of what it states. I will never buy anything other than Canon again. They do what they say on the box.

Well all mobiles are sexist, I've only ever seen them with sockets.

Most mobiles have On-The-Go capability so can be either host or device.

I suspect the prospect of a gender indifferent can only cause Brian more anxiety.

Perhaps he needs to reconcile the prospect that dinosaurs are extinct.
