Just for your information.. In this months Appliance magazine, on page 10, is a small piece about Black & Decker closing a manufacturing plant in Ashe County, NC. It further states that B&D owns, as part of the "Black & Decker Professional Power Tools and Accessory Group", DeWALT, Porter Cable, Delta, DeVillbiss Air Power, Biesemeyer and Flex businesses. The plant being closed was acquired as part of the purchase of the Tools Group division of Pentair Inc. B&D operates 4 saw blade manufacturing plants around the world and are closing this one. All affected employees will be offered severance packages and outplacement assistance. Inquiring minds want to know.. R. Wink
