Laguna Band Saw Questions

Where can I buy one of these things? I looked all over the Internet and could not find a single dealer. Their web site does not give a phone number either. I was thinking of getting the LT14SE. Any thoughts?

I agree that their web site is lacking, looks like they are making a lot of changes to it. Their phone number however appears on almost every page, near the top, towards the right side. [1 800 234 1976]

Consider if it's worth the trouble. They sell at ww shows but then ship to you (at extra cost) - don' t have stock available at the shows (unless that's recently changed). The 14" is made in Bulgaria. Based on my observations a year and a half ago at a show, the Laguna is indeed more "robust" than the Delta, but it is also more expensive and may not be worth it to you. In turn, the Delta is more robust than the Jet, likewise more costly. So, you gotta strike a balance to find best value for your needs.

They sell directly and have "show" pricing. Make sure you are getting it. They are a little difficult to deal with but the product is GREAT!

A while back LT underwent a major expansion, opening a site in New Jersey, changing their entire computer system, moved out of Laguna Beach and had a head of marketing/sales who was aiming to quadruple LTs annual sales. The emphasis for a while was heavily weighed towards dramatically increasing sales. The "pushy period" ended when the head of marketing/sales left and started up a competing woodworking machines as a subsidiary of a large Italian parent company. The NJ facility closed a year or two ago, the computer system is now working again and the dust has settled from The Move. Things are back to "normal" again, though importing things by ship after September 11th has slowed shipments from Europe.

I've got their Robland X31 and LT16SEC bandsaw and I only hear from them when they return my calls.
