Are you using a phone or a PC? On a PC try clicking the first line of text in the original tweet you want to see replies to.

Gentlemen,

Anyone here use Twitter? I have to confess I just don't get the layout at all. Seems very confusing, but that might just be my advanced age and inevitable encroaching senility. One thing that's bugging me is I can't see what other people have replied to someone's tweet. For example, If I read a tweet from say Jeremy Clarkson and want to see what his respondents make of it, I expect to see replies from them by clicking the 'replies' symbol on the far left hand side. But all I get is an empty dialogue box inviting me to add my 2p worth. I can't see anyone else's 2p worths, not even if I chip in mine. How do I see everyone else's replies?

- confused.

I take it you have 'Followed' the klod?

Nope. Do I need to just to see the responses? Seems kind of stoopid.

Do not click on the replies symbol. Click on the text of the tweet.

Is this not where hashtags come in though. What you don't want to do is follow all sorts of dingbats. I seldom use it but it does seem to wake up companies who otherwise ignore your calls and emails. They don't like bad publicity. Brian

Many people like myself hate the way things are filtered and all of that, and many use clients now. One that springs to mind is called Twitterific. Brian

OK, that works. What a stoopid idea, though! Doesn't seem at all intuitive.

Seems to be its sole redeeming feature!

What puzzles me is seeing to what previous tweet the one I am reading has replied/ reacted.

Chris

If I am reading "Latest tweets", sometimes in the list will be a tweet that is clearly in response to another one, but I don't know how to view it.

AFAIK the presentation is chronological. I can find responses to any of them, but not what they are responding to, if they do not quote/ retweet.

Chris

At that point, click on the tweet. Can you scroll up now?

At that point, cancel your membership of twitter, facebook, tiktok reddit and make a stiff gin and tonic and start to enjoy life...

Who would have thought it? Thanks. ;-)

Chris

It took *me* weeks, if not months, to learn that...!
