Shower enclosures - source/makes please

Aug 17, 2005 3 Replies

Having endured leaks through every possible knook and cranny of my five year old shower enclosure for the last two years I have decided that, rather than dismantle and reassemble it with suitable amounts of silicone after a thorough clean, I will replace it.

So, makes of non-leaking shower enclosures to suit a corner located square shower tray, please. The only special (as I see it) requirement is a choice of heights. The current enclosure is 6' high and the water bounces off my head and over the sides of the enclosure.

TIA

Richard

I spent ages looking for one that was taller than the typical 1.8m. Found a B&Q one that was 1.95m, which when added to the 10cm depth of tray just about works for us longer folks.

Can't remeber the model name at the mo - but you bought the side panel and the door separately. The price seemed good until I realised that was just for the door! (Total cost was 330)

Thanks John

Does it leak?????

IIRC the enclosure that we have is available in various heights - something I didn't discover until after the plumber had installed it (without silicone!)

I'll take a look in Buy and Queue.

We may be forced down the made-to-order route

Cheers

Richard

Not particularly - but as with all these things it takes care with the sealing to keep it leak free.

That sounds cheap - not!
