We installed a freestanding bath/shower mixer tap over 12 months ago, all was fine until recently, but now when the tap has been on 'shower' mode and you turn it off, the water doesn't automatically divert back to tap mode, therefore the next time you turn it on the water spurts out of the shower instead of the tap. We've replaced the complete tap and still had the same problem. Contacted the tap manufacturer, who said the problem is with the diverter, so sent a replacement. We've now fitted that, and it's still not working, so presumably not a problem with the diverter, but we don't know what else can be causing this. HELP!!!

How do you get it into shower mode in the first place?
(Have you got a link to the item on the manufacturers web site?)
