Garage floor sealing, PVA or Paving Sealer

I'd flood the area with diluted pva and allow to soak in. Should do the trick.

I suspect PVA is just a bit too water and oil soluble to be a good choice for this sort of thing. There are better products around for sealing concrete. You may as well do it right first time if you are going to do it. Car tyres squeak on some of these sealed surfaces.

The ones that work really well at penetrating and binding the surface layer of concrete tend to be a bit horrible to work with.

Enough dust and leaves blow into my garage under and around the main door that I have never bothered to seal the concrete surface.

AIUI an SBR latex emulsion is better than PVA, as it's less water soluble after it's dried out.

to glue down a threshold but generally to prevent dust from the concrete. T he threshold supplier suggests a paving sealer which to me is principly a w aterproofer my own feeling is that PVA is the answer as damp through the co ncrete should not be an issue as the base has a complete DPM.

PVA is alien to glues & water soluble. Epoxy is the best wearing.
