Lidl deals - any point getting out of bed?

If you bought a sound bar, it means the sound on your TV wasn't OK.

No it doesn't as I had no idea what the sound on my TV was like before I bought it. The sound bar was £20 off if bought with TV, Both arrived on the same day.

Previously I had my hifi connected up to the TV using a NAD amp with two morden short speakers & graphic equaliser.

And as I said and you ignored, my TV has better sound than my cheap sound bar at low volumes. For general viewing for news, documentatires and bit of sport and most things the sound bar stays off. I perhaps use the sound bar once or twice a month if watching a film (last time was last might the mad max film and I found the sound distrubing so switched the bar off.)

The only time I use it seems to be for some films mostly action space types and switching to cinema sound when I want higher volume which is rare. For 95+% of the time my TVs sound is fine and I prefer it to the sound bar.

The advantage of the sound bar is that I can remove it to another room and bluetooh it to my computer, ipad, iphone.

You buy a TV without checking it out first?

Which is generally the way to go if you want half decent sound. Apart from the graphic, obviously.

Didn't ignore it. But it does go to prove buying anything unseen means you get what you deserve.

Yes, as I did the last one and the one before that and the one before that. I wasn't expecting to by a TV with crap sound, so I didn't buy one with crap sound.

which I only mostly only used when watching something on VHS tapes I foudn it reduced the hiss a bit. I don;t wacth VHS tapes anymore and only rarely watch DVDs. I no longer find a need to have VHS player or a CD/DVD or bluray player connected to my TV.

Yes and the option was buy the £100 LG bar with 20% off when bought with the LG TV or get 20% off a £350 sound bar. But I didn't want to spend that much on a sound bar so didn't. They also had the sony version for about £550 I was less interested in that.

if you don't know maybe that's your problem. Why say that TV sound is crap. Whatls wrong with the TV sound ?

at low volumes I prefer the TVs sound whether it's crap is up to me. But sometimes yuo just want to feel and hear the roar of a starship or car. Maybe this is why cinemas always seem to have the sound turned up because they have crap speakers.

I don't consider my sound bar poor when turned up to above the level above that I'd normally have on the TV.
