I still haven't got my head around this modern sexuality business!

The world would see this friend as female, with an expectation that 'she' would either be straight and attracted to men, or a lesbian and attracted to other women.

Instead 'she' wants to be seen as 'he' but is attracted to men anyway, seems like lining yourself up for double complications throughout life...

I doubt it's modern, I'd say it's always been teh case it;s just it;s recongnised now.

But the world doesn't, even as a girl she used to dance more like a man hates girlie things, well into heavy metal and went to see Alice cooper play last week. He is the only person I know who like 'europe' the band that sings the final countdown. He;s French and dislikes the French (well mostly parisians) he doesn't get along with.

So you've not heard of bi-sexuals, or pansexuals, I know one person that is intersexed.

That's what I said when she told me, even stranger was when he said he wanted to have children but didn't want to be the person giving birth.

One of his friends is a hermaphrodite.

of course, but that's getting well down the list of initial assumptions people (myself included) tend to follow

More complications ... good luck finding the elusive person

Perhaps, but I'm more likely to meet such a person than I am meeting someone that has won a gold medal at the olympics.

I thought I might of found a solution when he introduced me to martin a girl that had gone through the process to become a male. 'He' was working as a male stripper in the USA for a while. When I said why don't you become a couple, he (my friend) looked at me with a shocked expression and said, but he hasn't got a penis. Well I tried to help, don't think I'll try again, even though I think I can understand I'm obviously missing a few key points with gender and percived gender.....

Hang out the back off as in penis in the blokes rectum following him around.

I still find lady boys more confusing, but haven't yet met one in real life.

I would have thought most men and many women would agree with that.

I would like to have a garden but I don't like gardening.

I'm not so sure regarding women, never been one myself, there must be some advantages[1] to being pregnant otherwise humans would be laying eggs.

I'd employ a garderner for such things.

In an Episdoe of star trek their is a culture where there are 3 genders the 3rd being non gender and carries the child (a bit like surrogacy) and looks after it as a baby for the 'couple'

[1] other than being given a seat on public transport and days off from work.

The advantages are for the child.

We have far simpler DNA than reptiles, as our children develop in the controlled environment of the womb, whereas reptiles need genes that allow the developing embryos to switch on and off all sorts of different development strategies according to changes in temperature, humidity, even daylight hours.
