Clear corrugated plastic roofing sheets and UV damage

Aug 23, 2009 3 Replies

Replaced a car porch roof a few years ago and now the plastic corrugated roof has gone opaque due to sun damage. Does anyone know if you can get UV resistant corrugated sheet that stays clear?

Thanks

Answering my own question

Checked Screwfix and it mentions Vistalux brand which is UV resistant though this seems 50% more expensive than the stuff at Wickes

Don't birds feet cause scratching over the years? The scratches attract dirt and it all ends up looking opaque anyway whatever the UV resistance.

Need something hard like glass.

No - that would be alien spacecraft

Which would shatter if a stone landed on it ?

Really ...

OP - you can get fibreglass corrugated sheets, or use something like twinwall instead
