Private water supply grants (Scotland)

Just in case there's anyone in Scotland with a private water supply, there are grants available of up to =A3800 for upgrading work needed.

wonder if 'consumption' means 'use' or simply 'drinking'? (i.e. can you claim for something like solar pre-heat on the hot water system? It's still 'supply' :-)

This is Scotland. Unless you live in an aircraft hangar you probably don't have enough roof area for solar pre-heating.

Yes, a country where solar water heating works well in summer, providing nearly all hot water in the summer if the system is designed properly. Obviously in winter it will not provide more than a proportion of hot water, unless massively over-sized for summer.

It is entirely unnecessary to live in an aircraft hangar to have an effective solar hot water system.
