Amazon - deep down are they rip-off merchants?

Sounds like it wasn't a Prime item.

I've spoken to Amazon dozens of time and they're nearly always (not quite) clearly spoken.

Why bother with online chat support when you can key in your phone number and they ring you right back.

If the OP didn;t like the item then just return it. It's a doddle with Amazon.

I have never once had to go to a Post Office to post an item back to Amazon. They have always collected it from my doorstep.

The OP writes a dozen posts, when all he had to do was email the vendor and ask about the button he can't find for looking.

He blames Amazon although they offer him a full refund without returning the goods and they didn't sell the goods in the first place).

Utterly amazing!

Sounds like the schools have broken up and the kids are playing, unsuccessfully, at being grown ups.

eBay is usually my first port of call, I still quite often forget that I should check also Amazon because they're occasionally cheaper.

Unless the items they want turn out to be top-up items, so they think "well I've been meaning to buy this [item costing over £20] so I might as well ..."
