We can do the same - something tastes nasty if it's bad for you. If you eat some leaves of a tree or plant and they're bitter, you avoid them. Also best to avoid things with stings or spikes - apart from the obvious pain of eating them, you know that plant is trying to protect itself and may also be poisonous. If you're unsure, you eat a small amount, see if you puke, then continue if you don't.

My point is not that people feed them bread, but that no ill effects to the ducks occur when most people do so.

Any decent driver adjusts his speed depending on the surroundings, and completely ignores the arbitrary numbers on the signs. I go anything from 15mph to 50mph in a 30mph limit. Someone who always goes 30 is holding people up on a clear day with little traffic, and driving dangerously if there are pedestrians milling around through parked cars on a foggy day.

The Plus doesn't charge a fee, it pays me interest every month.

I also have a NatWest card used just for regular bill DD's, which charges no fee, but pays me a percentage back for each regular DD.

Now that the Federal Reserve is taking their thumb off the interest rates there is a little more opportunity but it is still pretty hard to find a decent rate in an FDIC (insured) institution. Still the difference between interest checking and savings is less than 1%

In fact we have worked out how to successfully process some stuff that is poisonous so that it can be eaten safely.

Again, we have worked out how to eat the stuff that is good to eat even when it stings or has spikes or can eat you.

And I don't drink that. Why on earth would you enjoy a bitter taste? Bitter tastes are a warning - for example a lot of foods taste bitter if they've gone off.

I'm talking about wild animals just eating it, not putting it through a process in a factory.

But without the tools to do so, we'd avoid them, and so do wild animals. If they didn't they'd all have died out by now.

Then eat an even smaller amount. And most plants aren't THAT toxic.

I can't be. I see parks where the ducks are fed bread every 10 minutes by someone. Yet they're all still alive.

I already know I'm right, I regularly see ducks fed bread with no ill effects. You can't beat 1st hand experience.

And neither does my normal debit card. And neither did my credit cards,= contactless or not. What on earth are these charges you speak of?

I don't find it difficult to type a 4 digit number, it's a solution to a= problem that never existed.
