Good news regarding outsourcing, Vendor to support

Dec 16, 2005 4 Replies

Just got my new issue of Workbench magazine. Penofin finishes has stopped doing business with Big Box stores because the demands of the big boxes would have forced this family owned business to offshore its production to reduce prices. So now is the opportunity for those who are complaining about the detrimental effects offshoring is having on our economy and to support a family-owned business at the same time.

Never heard of Penofin... What is it? Do they have a website?

Pfffft! Perfectly acceptable in his case, since not only did he not edit the superfluous content, he even included the sig. I, on the other hand, top-post solely for your convenience. If you had, this message wouldn't appear

I use their penetrating rosewood oil finish on an ipe coffee deck table. Works great. One caveat: they say to apply liberally and wipe off excess, as for most oil stains. I didn't, and it got gummy in the corners where it was thick. My own damn fault, but look out, just in case.
