Toothed Locking Washers - Wood

Jul 19, 2005 7 Replies

Can someone give me a trade name and supplier for toothed washers that fit between two plates of wood and are M6 or M8 is size. They are like a crown gear and the teeth bite into each piece of wood as you bolt them together.

I can't see them in ScrewFix.

TIA - Chris.

Pretty sure Wickes have them.

What's the benefit of these Bob, presumably stronger than just bolting two pieces of wood together and in resisting rotation between the pieces but surely there's not that much gain. Very happy to be enlightened tho'.
