Modern cars don't send an individual switched 12V supply to each lamp,
they send a single 12V permanent supply and a CANBUS signal to a
controller within the lighting cluster which turns the individual lamps
on and off (more likely LEDs than incandescent nowadays and they get
strobed which some see as annoying flicker)
