Whatever solvent/spray you use be sure to protect the dashboard and any other plasticky/painty bits really well.

Well CPC used to sell some fluid for removing tape glue from most things, but it can be a bit long winded. Brian

Don?t know it it would be applicable in this case but using dental floss like a wire saw behind things you want to remove from flat surfaces (like car badges) can be very effective.
