How sweet. Dennis still ably justifying his killfile entry.

Everythign that Dennis wrote is cobblers, which is one of many reasons why he's in the kill-file. If olive oil is heat treated then, by definition, it is not extra-virgin olive oil.

Then, why are you here?

Not in mine there wasn't (I did note the brand that they stocked but I've forgotten it something-star)

The only branded products that are noticed were Marmite and Nutella, with Haribo sweet and a large (giant) bar of Dairy Milk in the Christmas section, perhaps these latter items aren't there all year?

Are you sticking your hand up to being one of the sheeple who thinks agreeing is more important than getting something right?

Do you mean Marston's, originally from Burton? I used to like a pint of their Pedigree back in the 60s. Much better than the current offerings.

It may have been in that area, but I'm led to believe that 'Trophy' was often the new name for the staple brew of the local brewery that had been assimilated into the whitbread empire. It certainly varied around the country.

I could never stomach Courage after the tales told to me by an assistant manager of one of their premises at Hailsham. I saw the same practices going on at the Courage pubs in Carlisle, so it must have been rife.

I've never actually got that far, must visit my niece there sometime.

Yep - Marston's. Must repair my fingers sometime.

The former local brewery was used by them as a depot for at least southern Hampshire. Artic from Burton. Dray from Winchester.

I always preferred their ordinary bitter as a regular drink. Pedigree is a quality beer but too much for a session!

Yep - that is exactly what the Trophy was. National Trophy was beyond dreadful.

If that's what you think then you have no idea about olive oil.

A quote from a well known web site

Extra Virgin Olive Oil is the finest quality olive oil you can buy. The oil must be extracted only by mechanical or other physical means, have excellent aroma and taste, which are determined by an organoleptic score of at least

6.5, and have a free fatty acid level (expressed as oleic acid) of not more than 0.8%. (IOOC trade standard)

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold. I remember geoff saying something like:

A million Special Brew drinkers can't be wrong!
