Anybody else been advised their email has been transferred from Plusnet to Greenby?
Got my email today and can no longer access my Plusnet folders, all their content appears lost.

err, every Plusnet customer, via multiple emails going back several/many months
Not true. I've been a Plusnet customer for over 20 years and I've never received such an email from them. (Mind you, I haven't used my Plusnet email address since 2005.)
Err, no. I've been notified that I will be notified *when* it's going to happen, but I haven't yet been notified that it *is* happening.
Same here and now it has happened it has been a disaster, my first interaction with Greenby has been to raise a ticket!
IIRC (I could be wrong, haven't checked) the original emails spelled out the 'migration date'.
I also received a 'welcome to Greenby' email (from snipped-for-privacy@greenby.com) on 1st December:
""" We’re excited to welcome you to Greenby, the new home for your Plusnet email! The migration of your email has been successfully completed, and all of your existing messages, contacts, and settings are safely in place. With Greenby, you can continue to use your Plusnet email address with the same login details. ... """
The Plusnet community forums have plenty of messages about what is happening, for good or ill. I moved to Mythic Beasts for email hosting long ago so haven't been looking particularly.
J^n
I didn't receive that.
I have just sent a test from my mythic-beasts email account to my plusnet mailbox and sure enough the Received: headers do show it hitting mail.enix.co servers, so it has happened.
I had two emails on the subject of the port to Greenby - the first was to say what was going to happen, and the second (some time later) had the option to transfer or not. I chose the latter.
I’m still getting monthly account information to my base PN address…
This was the second email:
To ensure you can continue to receive a reliable and secure email service, we’ve taken the decision to transfer the running of our email to the provider Greenby who will manage the service going forward. Why Greenby? Greenby are part of the Enix group who are one of the leading providers for email services and web hosting. You can find more information on Greenby and Enix at enixltd.com.
Greenby are one of the most reliable email providers available and can provide you with the following features:
• Retain your current email address and inbox content • A specialist team to assist you with your service and any queries • Easy to use platformWe’ve arranged for the service to be free of charge for the first two years, Greenby will then be in touch to inform you of any future charges. What do I need to do now? Good news, you don't have to do anything at the moment.
We will begin transferring mailboxes from 17th November 2025. You will still have access during this time.
Once the transfer is complete, Greenby will contact you via email.
Once you have been transferred, Greenby will become responsible for the personal data that is processed to provide your email service (including name, contact details, login details and mailbox data).

Thank you for being with Plusnet
I just sent another test to a domain hosted by plusnet, which ends up in my plusnet mailbox, it arrived ok, but shows no sign of hitting enix servers, just straight to inmx-ptp-005.plus.net ... go figure.
Anyway plusnet mailbox is just to catch "dregs" from when I used to give out my plusnet address rather than my own domain(s).
Yup got one yesterday....
I have not checked (I have not made much use of their email account recently) - although they claim to not have lost anything.
Were you using IMAP to access the account before? Or POP3? If the latter then there would likely be no content left in the actual mail account - it would all be downloaded to your computer. (where you could copy it back to the account using IMAP if you wanted)
Yes, I received an email on Nov 5th. I wasted no time to opt out of being transferred to Greenby, I think (and hope) the account is now dead.
One of my Plusnet accounts was migrated last Thursday, and they sent me an email to tell me. It's not my main account. It was the one I had at my holiday flat which I've now sold, but I've retained the email account. I've largely migrated away from it to an account based on my own domain, but I still get a few stray emails sent to it.
I decided to send some test emails both to and from the account to see what happened. Using Outlook on my PC to send emails from this account was fine, but incoming emails got as far as the Greenby server (I could see them in Webmail) but they didn't get as far as Mailwasher or Outlook on my PC.
Then the next day, my mailboxes disappeared - and it told me that I had
0 mailboxes instead of 3.I had a long webchat with their Bot (which, I have to say, seems a lot more intelligent than most). The Bot finally concluded that I DID have a problem but that it was above its pay grade to fix it, so I would need to raise a ticket. I did this, copying the webchat transcript into it rather than starting from scratch and, the next day, everything was working as it should - but I never had any direct response to the ticket. Meanwhile, I had found out how to set up diverters and had diverted incoming emails to other non-Plusnet accounts. I'm now getting two copies of each email, but that's better than none - and I can easily remove the diverters when I'm happy that everything is really ok.
One comment I would make is that the Greenby website is painfully slow - it's like watching paint dry when checking for emails in webmail.
If the same thing happens when they migrate my main account, that will be serious because I still get important emails sent to that even though I'm in the process of slowly migrating away from it. Anyway, I now know what work-arounds to employ if it does happen.
Greenby informed me yesterday (28/01/2026) that the transfer is complete. Logging into Greenby shows all my PlusNet mail and webspace, but also shown on the PlusNet site.
I think I'll transfer to BT FTTC soon, as I don't need a PlusNet account, and BT already provide my landline.
My two main accounts have been migrated but I still have a legacy account which started life as a PAYG. I've not received and communications from Greenby regarding that account, but I'm still receiving emails addressed to it. I wonder what will happen to it?!
Same here - originally Callnet then Madasafish.
The Plusnet literature I've read suggests these accounts will be transferred to Greenby with the others, but I won't hold my breath.
