How do you contact a live person at FedEx?

FedEx were supposed to have tried to make a delivery this morning, someone in, gate open, garage open, and they appeared not to even bother stopping, just claimed no one home...

The tracking/email gives no clues beyond that, when I might get my delivery..

There are no live people at FedEx. In my experience, they are the worst at anything that requires somebody to think.

Last contact from them in regards to the delivery was - they had been unable to deliver. Nothing at all since then, to suggest where it is, or when I might get it.

I completed the online form, to try to find out what was happeing, but all they said was that they would pass my comments to their delivery department.

Seems I might well need it..!

I drive to the airport depot here, and there is a human at the counter. You can also place a box on the counter, pay, and have it shipped for you. They accept items for delivery at the desk.

You can also do pickups there. If an item is not delivered, and the driver brings it back in the truck, they can arrange for pickup at the desk.

The trucks do delivery from that depot. Usually there is a pattern to the courier services here, as to when "home user" deliveries are done and when "business" deliveries are done.

the depot was not always at the airport. It used to be in an industrial park, but they moved to the airport area and a little bit off the airport property.

My first bad experience of FedEx involved their airport staff. I was finishing the sale of my property in the US, and moving back to the UK. My attorney in the US sent the final documents to complete the sale, to me in the UK, with a Pre-Paid Return Overnight Priority International Airbill. It arrived here as expected, I signed the final forms, arranged a FedEx pickup, and sent the package on its way. This was on a Friday. It should have appeared back at the attorney some time on the next day, Saturday, and at the very worst, Monday. But it didn't. It stopped at Stansted, as the Airbill number did not match anything that they recognised as coming from the UK. So instead of calling the US people to ask for clarification, they put it on a shelf until Monday, when I contacted them somewhat irately. What was the point of FedEx US sending a package that was clearly of Priority status if they just ignored it? Answer was there none, but they did send it on. Luckily, the sale was completed, but not in the timescale expected.

Then there was the raw meat package left on my doorstep, but addressed to a different postcode........

Don't you just love Thunderbird's Spellchecker: 'Airbill' suggested as 'Hairball'.

A repeat performance, again this morning. They claimed to be unable to deliver, despite never having been near my address, leaving a card, or etc., and we were home the entire time, in the front room, so would have noticed. I told the seller to cancel, and refund me.

I ordered some parts from a seller in Japan. Having had poor service from FedEx in the past, I specified I wanted it done by DHL. The seller ignored this and sent it by FedEx anyway. I just knew it would go t*ts-up and it did. I tracked the package as it made its way through all the various FedEx hubs across the Far East, Middle East and into Europe and finally to Stanstead. And there it stayed for some reason. Since there had been no movement after 7 days I tried to contact FedEx, but you can't. You get a robot voice telling you if you don't have an account with them, it won't put you through to a human. And you can't argue with a robot! There was no way around it and nothing I could do. It eventually left Stanstead and made its way back through all the hubs to Japan. F****ng unbelievable! FedEx are simply the *worst* courier company in the world IMO.
