The flat we live in has single lever mixer taps everywhere... After about 6 months of use some of them have started to close by themselves.
When we want a small flow of water, the tap decides otherwise and (due to the weight of the single handle) closes. Therefore we have to open it fully and waste water.

Is it possible to adjust the plastic unit (which contains the ceramic discs) to make it a bit stiffer? (don't suggest filling it with sand...)
