Light on wall switch for freezer is flickering. Is this ok? Thanks

Well not a great clue there. I'm assuming this is probably a neon. Probably just bad connections on the neon. These do tend to be just shoved into a bit of springy metal on the power connections and get corroded. Obv iously worth checking the internal screws have no worked loose before it gets too hot if that is the problem. Brian
I'd assume it's an old, clapped-out neon, rather than a loose connection
Neons flicker even with good connections. Even with a bad connection to the neon wires the risk is vanishingly small.

Try shining a torch on them ...
Got a cheap IEC distribution block off Ebay. 1 in, 6 out. That has a blue LED mains indicator. Have such things spread to wiring fittings yet?
And continue to flicker for many years until it ultimately fails (in a safe way) by not illuminating.
But surely the function is to warn the user that the circuit is live so, to fail safely, it should come on and stay on whether there is power or not?
