That fun to swap fuse box

This one that I posted about at the end of September

Well I swapped it today.

It took me 2 hours. Had to move the incoming supply to the left and move the meter.

Not quite finished with the tails connections (the Henley blocks are going) and the gas needs to be correctly bonded.

But all in all not a bad days work (I also nearly completed the second fix of the house electrics).

Did the customer ask you to bypass the meter too?

You're very obliging!

I suspect the supplier already knows ...

All RCBO - nice :)

Don't you need grommets for the knockout holes in a metal enclosure ?.

I noticed that, and assumed it would be sorted when the Henley blocks were removed?

Doubt it. If there is no power it will not detect the bottom cover getting removed.

10 year lithium battery, it'll probably record a tamper to flash memory and if it's going to grass you up, will do it when it gets power back ...

There is a blind 32mm grommet where the tails enters (just not clear on the photo).

I normally fit these

but I was out of stock.

And done for a good price.

Paid £153 for it inc VAT. I had to call in a favour though to get it at that price. Boiler and fridge freezer on their own circuits, 3 rings, cooker, two lighting circuits (smokes on with the downstairs lights) and finally the "sockets in the chimney" on their own RCBO.

I would have preferred the smaller RCBOs that I fitted last week (and fitted meters to four of the RCBOs so the customer can see who is abusing the electric).

Fixed to the wall with "Byron" sticky pad is it?

This one.

I would have preferred to know about the meters BEFORE I first fitted the CU and had to rewire the rooms to individual circuits and fit the meters and extra RCBOs. If I had known before hand I would have fitted the DIN rail terminals at the RHS of the CU.
