Reminds me if the (possibly apocryphal, but I have a mate who swears it happened to his mate) story about the breakdown truck driver in Cardiff who was called by the RAC or AA or someone to attend a breakdown in Minehead... "but you're only ten miles away!".
This one isn't based on standards so it's merely on the edge. Meeting CEO next week (other post should indicate where) so we'll see how much he's prepared to sweat blood :-)
Get the Lothian buses 100 service to Shandwick Place (Haymarket), walk along Atholl Cres to Queensferry St / Drumsheugh Place and get the northbound First Edinburgh service 43 which runs to South Queensferry Station Road, Burgess Road, The Loan (Scotmid), Hopetoun Rd (Church)
Total journey time 1 hr, fare £4.85 (£3 from the airport, std single, £1.85 from West End to SQ). The savings will pay for a sausage roll from Greggs for lunch :-) And you'll get a nicer view from the top deck than you will from a taxi.
