Back to wall WC or Wall Hung?

I am trying to decide on whether it would be cheaper for me to go for a Wall Hung WC or a Back to Wall Floor standing.

I have to work around my waste pipes being in the floor being 20mm away from the wall (Cavity Wall, into Lobby, was originally outside wall bu built a lobby around the front). I now have 2 problems a longish toilet hits the WHB Unit area and so Cannot have more than 600mm away from the wall. I have been unalbe to find a short projection Washdown toilet with a concealed cistern.

I am thinking of using one of the following Vitra WCs Retro Back to Wall 555 x 360 Retro Wall Hung 485 x 355

Will need a concealed cistern (as compact as possible with Geberit Flush controls. In order to move the toilet as far back as possible I can try and remove first skin of brick walls up tocistern height requirement. But all will be governed by the WC design and the floor waste. Can Any one give me suggestions?

Which ones are cheaper to install BTW or Wall Hung, Material wise as well as labour wise?

BTW are easier and cheaper. Roca do a nice Senso Compact btw toilet which is under 500mm as far as I remember. The ordinary senso compact is even smaller - 600mm including cistern - and comes with a swan neck connector which would work with the existing plumbing.

The most compact cistern needs about 140mm cavity. We usually use a Grohe. There is a model called the water wafer or something similar which is 75mm thick, but I couldn't find a supplier last time I looked.

Remember you dont have to site the cistern directly behind the pan. With an air controlled flush, the citsern can be mounted high up even in the attic/room above.

BTW is easier to fit Robert

What do you mean air controlled, does the GEberit consealed cistern with Artline Flush plate operated on Air?

Do I need any different equipment to do this?

I'm not sure about the Geberit one

I installed a Grohe system with wall mount frame and that can either have a flush plate top or front or a remote button with two thin pneumatic tubes (dual flush), which is what I used.

They also do a separate cistern which can potentially go anywhere within reason.

The cistern I have used is about 120mm deep (thick) and the flush mechanism uses a single rubber tube attached to a pneumatic "button" .I have seen thinner ones with the flush mechanism built into the front of the cistern. Cant give you any manufacturers name - got them from the local bathroom specialist Robert

The Roca Senseo is actually 555 x 355 w/o cistern. But have found a V&B BTW "low level" Pan WC 6605.10.01 which is 490 x 370.

Does anyone know what thye mean by LOW LEVEL?

Still not found the thinnest concealed cistern?
