Strange, as I looked it up when I bought mine and the UK will keep 2G for at least 10 more years. I guess you have more or better cell masts than us. If we turned off 2G now, most people would lose reception. Why do you actually need these higher Gs anyway? When I had a phone that did 2 and 3, both worked equally well.

AT&T dumped 2G in 2017. Most people didn't notice except for the San Francisco transit system. They apparently didn't get the memo. Phones qua phones work fine on 2 and 3G for voice and text. I believe many 4G LTE devices actually use 3G for voice.

Which brings us to VoLTE (voice over LTE). The older 4G phones may not have that capability or it may not be enabled.

Verizon apparently has push the demise of 3G out to the end of next year. While they started the switch to 4G years ago, a lot of rural areas still don't have 4G. Kill 3G and they don't have any cell service.

I have 3 of those "tactical" lights that I think were 3 for $30 at Costco. Since I am not sure why I want "dim" or "flash" I am just as happy with the black one here that seems to use the same bulb.

Like looking at the sun. You are night blind for about 15 minutes. I don't really use that light much except out in the boat at night and then sparingly, being sure it is pointed away from the boat before I turn it on.

I like 4x3 too but the world went to wide screen TVs and computer monitors use the same screens.

Even here the only real place you can get away with shooting someone like that is in your home and usually only if you can show signs of forced entry.
