Need Toyota Dealer Parts? Black Friday

I just bought a part for my Sienna online, and was pleasantly surprised to find a substantial "Black Friday" discount on the price. You cannot get this price without making the order online, although I did just pick the part up at my local dealer. It looked like this discount lasts about a week.

Too late. I totaled my Toyota 'Yaris' in 2010. I was 40% over the speed limit on a freeway. I made a slight maneuver and the car fishtailed and traveled backward at speed. I thought I was a goner, but the car banged onto the concrete 'Jersey barrier' highway median at 90 degrees and came to a dead stop instead of rolling over and shred into pieces. The rear bumper and the trunk were destroyed, but no airbag was deployed because the car was traveling backward when the collision occurred. The car had ABS but not the Vehicle Stability Control (VSC). I think "stability control" would have prevented this. Electronic Stability Control (ESC) became mandatory in all new vehicles sold in Canada since 2011.

My one experience with "vehicle stability" in a car was driving a friends Highlander on a 2 lane highway to go skiing. I was going around a wide snowy bend, when the car decoded I was in a skid, beeped loudly, and slammed on the left side brakes, causing the car to swerve into the opposing traffic lane. I did not approve of that response. I was lucky there were no cars there at that moment.

I got the name wrong. I think it was actually a 4 Runner.
