That's probably a good idea for a lot of people who aren't very handy. I can look after most plumbing issues on my own. I have the tools and I know how to sweat solder. Most of my water pipes are in the basement and run directly up from the basement to the kitchen and to the laundry room so they are readily accessible if I run into a problem. In this case, the pipes ran up through a wall and between the floor and the ceiling.

It doesn't seem like that long ago that we were expressing that sentiment to you because who were constantly engaging the trolls and the resident sociopathic liar.

I only see the trolls' idiocy when someone replies to them and quotes them, and I have been filtered a number of people who were doing too much of that.

This was 'pressure' pipe, and not a drain?

How did nails pass all the square bends inside your house, let alone how did they get into the municipal supply?

It looks like someone tried to taint the water supply in the bathroom sink. Since iron is not poison in those amounts, the only plausable thing I can imagine is planned obselescense, i.e.: "Yeah sure I can fix that terrible rust problem in your sink.

It Looks like someone sold you copper-plated pipes instead of the real McCoys."

Supply lines not the drains.

I had heard that sometimes when you get different tradesmen working at the same time time they sometimes play tricks on each other. They nails were in straight drops. No municipal water here. I am on a well and cistern.

No rust stains but it sure had a negative impact on water presster.

Disclaimer for the nymshifting assholes.... this if OT :-)

I'm picturing an open plumbing rough-in and a stupid carpenter playing tricks when the house was constructed.

That's basically the story I was told when I first found nails in the pipes many years ago. FWIW, the guy who had owned the place and done the major additions was a a heavy drinker, so I can imagine him working on the job with his buddies and there being some alcohol involved.

No, he just got a karmic dividend, the drinking and nails weren't a social lark.
