aluminum or fiberglass screens - and bugs

Could someone please help settle a debate before a fight breaks out?

If you wanted window screens that would prevent the tiniest of tiny insects from getting in, is standard aluminum or standard fiberglass better? Or are they both the same?

The important aspect is the seal around the edges. Also, an ant can get through standard screening material. Here's a website of a company where we ordered weep hole vents a few years ago, to prevent ants from getting inside through the weep holes in the brick. They send a free fridge magnet too, to keep them before your eyes. heh

I don't know if they have that material big enough for screens, but maybe you can find some useful info about windows there. We haven't had a pest problem inside, but we used to get one waterbug once a blue moon.. and we haven't had one since installing these.

20 mesh fiberglass. I don't think fine mesh screening comes in aluminum or any other metal for that matter.

I stand corrected. A little research shows that 20 mesh and finer is available in stainless and zinc plated steel. However, you need to look at the wire diameter since some of the fine wire mesh screens will be hard to see through.

I think you had better look into glass. No screen will keep out the tiniest of tiny insects.
