2 ton amana split system

hello all i have a 2 ton split system this summer that continuesly ran it froze up on the condensor and evaporator, then just recently had to replace 24v transformer and capacitor and contacts last year the circuit board had been replaced could it be in the wiring or a sequencer please help.

yes, it could be. Replace the wiring, sequencer and thermostat. Bubba

Without a complete set of readings, any possible causes would only be a guess. Best bet is to call a local, *competent*, licensed, insured, professionally trained HVAC technician(not the cheapest) to come diagnose the system, and correct any and all problems. It sounds like it was installed over the summer.... so it should still be under warrenty by the installer. OTOTH, if it was installed by the lowest bidder, than all bets are off.

The unit probably is designed to be wired only to the indoor unit but was powered to the outdoor unit causing the compressor to run permanently even when the unit was turned off indoors.

Something definitely wrong, if it froze both the condensor and the evaporator. Call for help.
