I've never seen a properly soldered joint that had failed.
Badly soldered, elbow worn through, dripping compression joints, etc., but never a good soldered joint.
Plumbers usually use end-feed in their own houses.
Trouble is the falure mode of push fit plastic tends to be the pipe popping right out of the joint or the O ring giving up, both of which either produce a lot of water or a fair amount of water.
Compression failure mode tends to be just a weep. Solder rarely fails.
That's because it's cheap. :-)
