Yes, it wasn't pleasant. I did enjoy my time training new agents, I enjoyed that. I liked digging in and learning technical aspects... there was a time that my dedicated job was to walk around the call center floor and assist other agents with difficult issues while they were on calls. I honestly do miss that.

I do NOT miss taking billing calls or "supervisor" escalation calls. I and several others were hired on RIGHT when Frontier acquired FiOS and copper lines from Texas, California, and Florida in early 2016. We had basically no training, and were a 3rd party vendor site. They literally threw us on live calls the day of the cut over... every problem you could imagine in the transition we had to somehow explain, with no direction from the company. People called for months screaming their brains out, pissed as all getout. Verizon forwarded those customers calling 1-800-VERIZON directly to us... very poor communication on both sides.

Personally I pay on interest-free installments for my 1K+ smart phone, direct to the manufacturer (or more precisely to their bank), and it still works out cheaper than any of the major cell providers' plans.

I paid a *lot* more than $1K for this computer, too. Yes I have Verizon but will probably change soon (when I buy a couple of new >$1K phones). Verizon for the coverage. I think they're the only one with service at my house and even they don't cover the entire neighborhood. We have some really surprising cell-holes around here. ...and AT&T sucks all around.
