I would suppose so. I would also suppose they will be growing tropical American trees there, though one supposes they could also grow exotics imported from Asia, or Africa.

Had a semi-regular here from Texas(?) who had a share of a teak farm, as I recall. Sort of neat that it's a "certified forest" by the enviros, when it's a potentially invasive exotic....

Wouldn't that be great if Teak became invasive in Texas?!

Somehow I doubt that teak trees would propagate to the extent to be considered "invasive". We're talking teak trees, here, not kudzu.

Trade you for some water hyacinth or zebra mussels? After all, what can an exotic or two do to an ecosystem in which it has no natural enemies....
