Hot on the heals of the headboard job I began the new entertainment center job.

This is the final drawing.

This is where I am at. I have just over 450 linear inches of dado's and grooves on X,Y, and Z axis that all have to line up perfectly so that everything locks together. Bottom panel into end panels dado's, mid panels into the bottom panel dado's and all of those panels into the front and back face frames groves and dado's. And because the back face frames and front face frames are assembled differently, their respective rails top and bottom are 1" different in length. This is where being anal comes in handy when measuring. This was the first test fit after gluing up the face frames. I have built 62 face frames in the last 32 months this way.

The back face frames feature lap joints to form rabbets for the back panels, reinforced with 5mm Dominoes. The front face frames are butt joints reinforced with 5mm Dominoes also.

Next step, pop it all apart and add glue, 450 inches of glue. ;~)

Even the plans look sharp. The installed headboard is excellent.... I hadn't seen that pic, previously.
