Last time I checked for 7/4, yes seven quarter, $2.19 per BF.
Looks like over $3.45 per BF for the 6/4 you show above.
Your 7/4 was S2S? This stock measures 1 5/16 after surfacing.
I'll call around next week. Nobody that would carry that kind of stock is open this weekend.
Roughsawn edges, still? I'd guess the 6/4 was sized on 8" roughsawn which would knock Leon's number down to $3.02/bf but for poplar that still seems pretty pricey to me...but I don't know what millwork goes for there (or who did the millwork might have something to do with the surcharge rate)...
Kiln dried 8/4 popular is $2.77/bf at the local sawmill.

If I'd known you could buy popular at a sawmill for such a low price I'd have been a lot happier in high school.
The more bf you have, the more popular you are.
