Opinions Wanted - to glue or not to glue

I've started the glue-up of the rocker. Got the legs glued to the seat. I n this pic, the arms, top rail and rockers are not glued and are installed for positioning/alignment of the legs.

Next to be glued are the arms and backrest top rail, as seen here.

I think typically one doesn't glue the backrest slats in their positions, h owever, since this is a love seat rocker, its width may make a difference a nd the chance that two people sitting/moving will/may be an extra load for lateral and/or diagonal forces. ....

Should I glue the slats in place, both along the top rail and to the seat? Both rail and seat have mortises to accept the slat tenons.

Third stage glue-up will be the rockers.

On another note (next project), I have never sold that large walnut dining table, now in my dining room. Not sure if I'll ever sell it, though I've never really pushed the effort. I had the chance to pick up 12 nice chair s for cheap, 2 captains chairs and 10 side chairs. I'm in the process of s tripping and will reupholster them with tan colored leather them.
