I bought a DW682K a while back at Lowes and have just not had the chance nor need to use it. In fact, I don't believe I've ever plugged it in. I'd got some other stuff I'd like to buy so I wanted to sell this machine. Comes with the plastic case and instruction manual also.
I'd like to get $115 out of it and we can split shipping.
It can't hurt to ask. And here's a little tale that'll probably convince you :)
2 years ago when I first got started in woodworking I bought a table saw, CMS and the PC 690 plunge/fixed base kit. After 1 1/2 years I went to use the plunge base for the first time and noticed that it had never come with the height indicator that goes on the rod "thingee" (ugh, sorry about that). Anyway, I went to woodcraft to see if they sold them. Nope. I went to Lowes (where I bought it) to see if they sold them. Nope, but the guy in the tool area said to just bring it back and they'll give me a new one. What? But it's 1 1/2 years old and I've used it a lot. "That's ok, that's the policy". Whoa. So I bring my router back in and they don't make my model anymore they make a new one that's variable speed with the quick release base, etc. They ran the two things in the register and I walked out with an upgraded brand new router in exchange for what was probably a $0.50 piece of metal. Weird but true.
So, yeah, I have no doubt they'll take it back -- but they won't give you cash, you'll get a gift card instead. If that's ok, then you're probably set.
The funny part is how angry I'll be when I go to finally buy one and remember that I could have had one for $115 ;)
I'd be glad to take it off your hands for $115. I wonder what it would cost to ship it to Saskatchewan in Canada? I could have payment to you real quick via Paypal. Let me know if you are still interested in selling it. Regards. -Guy LaRochelle
