I've just checked my account at Octopus and my final Avro bill and correct credit amount is listed.

Does it also show the last Avro meter reading? By using an assumed start meter reading rather than the last (estimated) one from Symbio, E.on are trying to make me pay for the same energy twice.

In my Octopus account billing section I have the final Avro bill. It's in the same format with the Avro logo etc. as all my other Avro bills.

My Avro credit balance is also shown on the opening page of my Octopus account.

I managed to get on the Avro site a couple of days after they went bust to give a meter reading for both Gas and Electricity. These are the readings they have used for my final bill.

My final bill may have been part of their testing :)

EDF have now added electricity to my account, after they added gas a week or so ago, no bills or balance transfer yet, seems they only want meter readings twice per year, all previous suppliers have wanted them monthly ...

Same here, and it's on the Avro website. I have (had) another account with Avro (different property) and that final bill isn't showing on either site yet. I guess there's a lot to be worked through.

Got my update today. New balance and previous meter readings imported. Shame they seem to have transposed the night a day rates!

Anyone got a (Octopus) bill yet (other than the Avro final bill)? I provided my final Avro reading to the Octopus site on Sep 27th plus two other monthly readings since. I've had 3* amounts of money removed from my account based on my meter readings but so far I've yet to see a bill.

  • one amount covered the 2 days between Avro going bust and the normal Octopus billing day.

I have only submitted one set of readings after the take-over from Avro. I submitted them on 28th Nov and received an emailed bill the next day.

When my supplier, Green, went bust, I cancelled the standing order. Despite Flipper saying not to - as the new supplier (Shell, in my case) would sort it all out. Given the time Shell have taken to set things up - not surprising given the numbers involved - I'm glad I did. Firms always take longer to refund credit than they do to chase a debt.

Nope - its only showing the Avro one from 12 sept to 26th sept

They seem to have take 2 x dd payments at the previous Avro rate.

I did query why the web site says "We have taken payments by dd" and then "You have not setup a dd yet".

From the email reply today it seems they have not actually transferred over the dd mandates from the administrators yet.

I cancelled my Avro DD the day they went bust. A few days later at Octopus's request I set up a new DD with Octopus. My bank account showed it had been set up soon afterwards. Octopus set the amount at my previous Avro figure. Octopus didn't take a DD payment until recently on the 29th of November so 2 off DD payments haven't been claimed. I'm not particularly worried as it's just reduced the amount I was in credit with Avro.

After an email to Octopus my bill(s) now appear on my web account page - and they emailed me back within 2 (working) days.

However..... I have a number of email addresses that only differ by what is before the @. These I use for things such as online utility accounts. My user name for my web account with Octopus was xxx@......... but when I sent an email querying the lack of bills I sent it from yyy@......... The content of the email did give all the relevant details of my account with them. For some strange reason Octopus changed my web account user name to yyy@............ and then neglected to tell me! The next time I tried to access my account I'm told I have an invalid user or password! Now sorted but a PITA.
