Avro web site

Although the Avro web site gives all appearances of being broken it still works if you persevere.

I've just been able to download my previous statements etc. and print off other relevant details.

It took around 5 attempts on each screen but even when it comes up with an error message just hit the button again or just wait 5 minutes. On some pages the response is very delayed whereas the pop up error message so fast :)

I assume a fair number of Avros 580,000 customers are trying to do the same as I, and all at the same time. :(

LOL

Just done the same this morning, and downloaded all my statements. I'm a modest amount in credit. Had to keep reloading the pages with the error messages until the real page came up.

I wouldn't be at all surprised.

At this point in time I'm not keen on Octopus, but will have to let the switch go through then assess what;s available...

Thanks very much for this. We tried the other day and thought website was down. Did what you suggested and managed to get our statements, plan details and most importantly the amount of credit we had :)

A quick check this morning showed not a lot else competitively available. I too will assess the situation in a few weeks time

Pop along here:

and scroll down to the graphic titled "Green Energy At A Fair Price". You'll see a bar-graph comparison of more than 40 energy suppliers. Hover your cursor over them to see the supplier's name and cost for a standard user. It just so happens that the mysterious (to Avro transferees) Octopus Energy Flexible tariff is the cheapest of the lot.

Personally, I don't want anything to do with a company in which Al Gore is a significant investor, and am willing to pay extra not to be in that position. But I'll have to wait for the switch to go through before jumping ship.
