Suggestions please - Stuck 1m drill bit

Which unless you have priceless frescos on the interior wall is a damn sight easier to repair than external stonework exploded to smithereens. Blowout on common brickwork looks crap too and just like the stonework the craters are usually bodged with half a tube of clear mastic, but by the time there is half a wok on the side of the house who really gives a toss about the exterior state of the building?

Then ease off on the pressure and let the drill do the work. If a

10mm drill is lifting 12 inches diameter of plaster then something is seriously wrong with either the technique or the plaster.

Maybe slightly but 99% of the time it makes sod all difference.

Errm, no. Unless you start unusually high up on the wall drilling from the inside pointing down as you suggested runs the risk of penetrating the damp course. Drilling from the outside heading up eliminates most of that risk.

These craters seen on house walls are the sole result of incompetent or uncaring individuals drilling the holes.

WHAT? You are kidding, no? There are loads of times when you might drill from the outside.

Certainly not a case of NEVER drill from the outside. Are you sure your drill bits are sharp or are you just leaning on your poor drill with all your weight?

Enough so that after moving the drill bit 2 inches, the hammer stop broke off. So it's back on Friday with another slide hammer!

ouch, this really isn't going your way, is it?!!!

If there's any way you can rig up the mole grips so that there can be some sort of attachment to a scissor jack from a car then these things can be remarkably good at pulling obstinate articles out (with a suitably sturdy & large spreader plate on the wall, of course).

How about...

You know those nutsplitter thingys. A circle of steel with a screwin thingy at one side. Could you put one of those on the shank with the screwin thingy screwed into one of the SDS slots. Might give you more grip.

I assume you have tried wellying it with a club hammer before trying to turn it?
