SOT: now Outlook problem

Which is why some of us in IT used to know Outlook Express as Lookout Quick.

Just use Thunderbird.

I looked after a Small Business Server for a number of years for a client, first SBS2003 then 2008. That was Windows Server plus Exchange plus SQL Server plus DNS and DHCP, all tied together with Active Directory, an improbable offspring of LDAP and Kerberos. It was SBS that decided me not to move further into IT support.

Thanks to everyone. I think this is now sucessfully resolved. I tried lots of ideas to no avail but eventually I exported my Google contacts to a CSV file then imported this to Outlook using the Import Wizard.

If you're not wedded to Outlook emClient is worth a look. Works with POP, IMAP, Outlook and Gmail. Free version does 2 accounts, paid version gives you three licences for home use.

Thanks. I will certainly look at this. I would need a paid-for version as I have six email accounts and the occasional need for 'group' emails. There would be a perfectly reasonable 'business case' for this if it saves me a lot of my time sorting out problems with Outlook. l
